Anupam Kher hails reduction in GST on movie tickets

Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh), Dec 22 (ANI): Veteran actor Anupam Kher praised the Narendra Modi-led government for reduction of GST on movie tickets at the recently held 31st GST Council meeting, on Saturday. Kher lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi for quick actions taken on his part after a council of Bollywood fraternity met him in Mumbai. 18% GST will now be levied in movie tickets above Rs 100 and 12% in tickets below Rs 100. The reduction in tax was done keeping in mind the mass entertainment perspective of movies in cinemas.
