'Ant-Man and the Wasp' earns 71 million USD globally

New Delhi, Aug 27 (ANI): Hollywood movie 'Ant-Man and the Wasp' ruled the roost at the Global box office this weekend, with a majority of its earnings coming from China. Over the weekend, the Marvel superhero movie earned 71 million USD worldwide, out of which 68 million USD was earned from its China debut, reported Variety. The total worldwide earnings of the film came from 28 markets. Till date, the worldwide earnings for the Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly starrer superhero sequel stands at 544 million USD. The movie is yet to make its debut in Japan. On the other hand, a US-China co-production, 'The Meg', starring Jason Statham has earned over 400 million USD globally. 'Crazy Rich Asians', which has been in the news for a long time now has scooped a decent 6 million USD from the international market. Big Budget Hollywood production 'Mission: Impossible- Fallout' which earned 13 million USD in the overseas market, took its total worldwide earnings to 538 million USD.
