New Delhi, May 29 (ANI): 'Pad Man' may have earned all the acclaims and the money it needed to be a big hit at the box office, but the fight for its cause is not over yet. At a recent event in the national capital, Akshay Kumar, on the occasion of World Menstrual Hygiene Day felicitated activists who contributed towards raising awareness about menstruation. Parveen Sheikh who hails from the slums of Mumbai, shared her story of struggle. She was born on the unhygienic roads of Mumbai, but that did not stop her from spreading awareness about menstruation. She also shared the story of how she was branded to be a crazy woman for her progressive attitude. Applauding her efforts, Akshay Kumar encouraged her to continue with her work, irrespective of what the society may think of her.
