Three unidentified assailants were arrested on Sunday in Bengaluru after they assaulted a man and threatened to kill him. Wilson Garden police conducted an operation and seized two firearms, a mobile phone, a silver chain and a two-wheeler from the accused, DCP Central Bengaluru said.
"A compensation of ₹5 lakh has been announced for Mubarak's family. The cost of treatment for the injured will be borne by the government," CM Siddaramaiah said.
Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Bengaluru City Police Commissioner, and other officials also visited the site of the incident. One boy, identified as Mubarak has died in the explosion.
Bengaluru Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) South East Sarah Fathima said that the body of the officer was handed over to his son for the final rituals.
