The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) on Friday announced the withdrawal of instructions that prohibited the substitution of leave for weekly rest for airline crew.
The notices pertain to breaches related to Flight Duty Period (FDP) and Weekly Rest requirements, cabin crew rest and duty norms, crew training, and operational procedures.
The revised Flight Duty Time Limitations of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation has extended weekly rest periods for flight crew, increasing it from 36 hours to 48 hours for flight crew.
