Sanjay Raut on Wednesday hit out at Maharashtra chief minister Eknath Shinde over the rainfall situation in the state that has triggered waterlogging and floods at several parts of Maharashtra.
Visuals from the rainfall-affected areas showed a team of NDRF carrying out rescue operations, helping people to come out from flooded homes and streets.
The district administration is on alert mode and has made necessary arrangements for the safety of the people. The administration also urged the residents to avoid visiting waterlogged spots in the district.
Due to heavy rainfall prevailing here since Friday evening, various parts of the city have been waterlogged. SDERF teams, police teams, district administration and municipal corporation teams continuously evacuated the people stuck in settlements built on the lower regions and on the bank
Seeing the situation, the district administration is on alert mode and they have deployed the teams at various places in the city for the safety of the citizens.
Speaking to ANI, one local said, "We are facing huge difficulty due to waterlogging. Vehicles are not able to move due to water congestion, we are locked inside our houses due to the waterlogging."
The incessant downpour began over the weekend, saturating the region and overwhelming the drainage systems. As a result, numerous low-lying areas across Mathura have been inundated, making travel and daily activities extremely challenging for locals.
Heavy rains lashed several districts of Telangana on Tuesday. Several parts of Hyderabad city experienced severe waterlogging and traffic jams amid incessant rainfall since Monday.
These dewatering trucks with high-capacity suction pumps have been brought in by the Delhi Fire Services (DFS) to deal with any contingency like the one recently, where the area in and around the Raj Ghat and ITPO were submerged after heavy rains.
