The Bill aimed to provide a statutory guarantee of 125 days of wage employment per financial year to every rural household, in line with the national vision of Viksit Bharat @2047. It also focuses on strengthening rural livelihoods and accelerating overall rural development.
"Has the BJP ever done anything besides changing names?... I have the strongest objection to this because it was initiated by the UPA. There is only one Mahatma Gandhi in the world..." he said.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said on Sunday that the government is working on a minimum wage guarantee for sanitation workers across Uttar Pradesh, adding that a committee has already been formed in this regard and concrete action will be taken soon, an official statement said.
