Vistara Airlines announced on Friday that its Mumbai-Frankfurt flight that was diverted to Turkey due to security concerns has landed safely in Turkey.
Starting from the first week of June, this service aims to streamline travel procedures for international passengers departing from Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI), New Delhi.
A Vistara flight travelling from Thiruvananthapuram to Mumbai, received a bomb threat on Friday, prompting an extensive security search of the aircraft.
Amid repeated disruptions, Vistara has announced scaling back its operations by 25-30 flights per day, which is expected to provide much-needed resilience and buffer in the rosters and bring stability, the airline spokesperson said.
A senior DGCA official confirmed that given the various flight disruptions of M/s Vistara due to various reasons, including crew unavailability, DGCA has asked the airline to submit daily information and details on the flights that are being cancelled and delayed.
