The cost of 31 Predator drones, which India will be buying from the United States, is still in the early stage of negotiations and a fair distance away from the final figure, Defence Ministry officials said on Thursday
The American predator drone deal was put on hold in view of giving a push for the Make In India programme and a committee headed by a Lieutenant General was asked to review the entire deal which was coming out to be very expensive at around USD 4.5 billion for 30 drones.
New Delhi [India], November 15 (ANI): In a big step towards strengthening military ties with the US, the Indian Defence Ministry is going to take up the case for the acquisition of 30 Predator drones for the three defence forces at a high-level meeting scheduled to be held on Monday.
