The UN Secretary-General's special representative on Children and Armed Conflict in Afghanistan in a new report said that children in Afghanistan remain highly vulnerable to grave violations, TOLO News reported.
The United Nations (UN) has called on the Taliban to recognise individuals under 18 years of age as children and prevent their recruitment into security forces, Khaama Press reported.
Aid officials said that the Taliban had signalled international organisations could no longer be involved in education projects, in a move criticised by the UN but not yet confirmed by Afghan authorities.
