Bharatiya Janata Party performed puja at the party office in Tripura's Agartala on Thursday ahead of the counting of votes for the Assembly elections today.
Counting of votes for the Tripura Assembly elections began on Thursday morning at 21 counting centres amid tight security and in the presence of the Election Commission of India-appointed observers across the state.
"Voting for Assembly elections in Tripura will be held in a single phase on February 16 and in Nagaland and Meghalaya on February 27. The results will be declared on March 2," Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar said during a press conference.
