Union Minister Kiren Rijiju met a Saudi Shura Council delegation in Parliament to discuss strengthening India-Saudi Arabia ties. He said the talks were "warm" and "constructive" and thanked the delegation for their visit and meaningful engagement.
"We welcomed Saudi Arabia's Minister for Hajj and Umrah (Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah). Hajj policy for 2024 has been issued by the Indian Government. The application form is also available for those who want to go to Hajj. 47 percent Hajis last year were women," Union Minister Irani told ANI.
Speaking at the Hajj Expo 2023, Tawfiq Al-Rabiah stated that the number of people participating in this year's Hajj will return to pre-pandemic levels.
