Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan and Intelligence Bureau (IB) Director Tapan Kumar Deka visited two relief centres for internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Manipur's Churachandpur on Monday.
The Central government has extended the tenure of Intelligence Bureau (IB) Director Tapan Kumar Deka by another year, affirming his continued leadership at the helm of India's premier intelligence agency.
Tapan Kumar Deka noted that the changing nature of armed conflict, with a rise in intra-state conflicts involving non-state Armed Groups, has increasingly exposed peacekeeping operations to regional and global dynamics that undermine their efforts to implement their mandate.
Director of Intelligence Bureau (IB) Tapan Kumar Deka and Director General, National Investigation Agency (NIA) Dinkar Gupta, met Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma here on Friday.
