Human Rights Focus Pakistan (HRFP), in collaboration with the Taiwan Foundation for Democracy (TFD), successfully held the 15th Human Rights Defenders (HRDs) Network Meeting and Project Closing Ceremony in Faisalabad.
Human Rights Focus Pakistan marked National Minority Day, urging constitutional reforms to protect religious minorities. Speakers called for ending discrimination, violence, and misuse of blasphemy laws, promoting religious freedom, equality, and justice for all citizens in Pakistan.
Under the UN theme, "For ALL Women and Girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment," the event brought together voices from various sectors to call for systemic change and gender justice.
The project, titled "Human Rights Documentation, Fact Findings, and Advocacy for the Marginalized," aims to promote human rights, democracy, and the rule of law in Pakistan, read an official statement.
Naveed Walter, president of Human Rights Focus Pakistan (HRFP) said that the advancement of human rights, democracy and the rule of law are the dire needs of today.
