The national capital, Delhi, and adjoining cities saw cloudy skies and rain that provided significant relief from the scorching, sweltering temperatures on Tuesday afternoon.
Amidst sweltering temperatures, many voters emphasised the importance of casting their votes, urging others to do the same and stressing the direct impact of government decisions on their lives.
“Horrendous heat is having horrendous effects. Distraught farmers watching crops carried away by floods. Sweltering temperatures spawning disease,” he said in a speech to open the Climate Ambition Summit, happening alongside the UN General Assembly in New York, as per CNN.
"We have issued a heatwave alert for today for south Haryana, Delhi, south UP, north MP, Jharkhand, Bihar and Bengal. Tomorrow, a heatwave alert is not given for any place other than Jharkhand," said Soma Sen Roy while talking to ANI.
