A team of senior irrigation experts sent by the Sindh chief minister has confirmed that construction on a stretch of the controversial Cholistan Flood Feeder canal was initiated but is currently halted, with machinery idle and no active work observed at the site.
In an update on Monday, Pakistan's National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) said Ganda Singh Wala situated along Sulemanki Headworks was facing medium-level floods at a declining level.
