Indian students studying in Iran have begun making arrangements to leave the country amid growing safety concerns, with the first batch expected to depart for the Armenia border on Thursday as evacuation plans gradually take shape.
The students marched to the University headquarters as part of a day-and-night protest launched yesterday, demanding resolution of multiple student concerns, including pending allowances.
Jan Suraaj leader Prashant Kishor backed BPSC protesters, urging the government to address student concerns. He criticized the re-examination as an admission of irregularities and said that the Chief Minister must meet students to resolve the issue.
The protests, which began on September 22, are due to various issues, including hostel conditions and the Vice Chancellor's handling of student concerns and his alleged indecent behaviour.
