The number of worshippers reached 1,531,192, including 257,859 who performed Friday (Jumu'ah) prayers, 697,961 who performed daily prayers, and 575,372 who attended during Ramadan and the two Eids.
The foundation stone was laid for the Sheikh Zayed Mosque and Cultural Centre in N'Djamena, Chad. Built under a UAE-Chad agreement, the mosque will accommodate 10,000 worshippers and include a library and school, while the cultural centre will host classes and community programmes.
Under the directives of UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, the UAE Aid Agency has signed an agreement with Chad to construct the Sheikh Zayed Mosque and a Cultural Centre in N'Djamena, promoting humanitarian cooperation and cultural exchange.
H.H. Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah on Wednesday performed Eid Al Adha prayer at Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Fujairah.
