PTI leader Sheikh Waqas Akram said Imran Khan's sons have the legal right to visit Pakistan as NICOP holders, and accused the government of lying out of fear. He criticised the regime for delaying their visas and called the response weak and cowardly, Dawn reported.
While addressing a press conference along with adviser to the chief minister on finance Muzammil Aslam at the information department, Akram rejected the federal government's claims regarding "economic recovery" and called it "jugglery of words."
While addressing a press conference in Peshawar on Monday, Akram warned that the people will not tolerate further injustice against former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan.
In a statement, PTI spokesperson and central information secretary Sheikh Waqas Akram announced party's decision to not attend the APC due to the government's "silent complicity" in the killing of innocent civilians, and its political support for those responsible for the violence.
The notice, issued by the PTI's central secretariat, stated that Marwat has issued "irresponsible statements" that harmed the PTI's reputation and interests despite being given clear instructions by party founder Imran Khan.
