The Tamil Nadu Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief K Annamalai once again reiterated that the 'Sethusamudram' project "fails" on multiple fronts, one of which is causing damage to the 'Ram Setu' bridge.
BJP Tamil Nadu unit chief Annamalai on Friday said the Sethusamudram waterway project straddling India and Sri Lanka would only benefit a few shipping companies owned by leaders of the ruling DMK.
A day after Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin adopted a resolution in the Assembly on the Sethusamudram project, Hindu saints across the country are calling out the DMK government and claiming the project to be against the "sanatan dharam".
The resolution moved by the state Chief Minister MK Stalin, requested the Union Government not to delay the project as it is important for Tamil Nadu and the country's economic growth.
