Elon Musk-owned satellite internet company Starlink has been given license by the government to launch GMPCS (Global Mobile Personal Communication by Satellite) services, VSAT Services and ISP Category-A under unified license.
Minister for Communications Jyotiraditya Scindia on Thursday said Elon Musk's Starlink will be the third satellite internet company to be given a license for providing services in India.
India is open to providing the necessary license to Starlink, said Union Minister for Communications Jyotiraditya Scindia, with a rider that the entity has to comply with all the concerns that India may have.
After directing the transfer of more than USD 3 million in outstanding fines, Justice Alexandre de Moraes of the Brazilian Supreme Court has unfrozen the bank accounts of the satellite internet company Starlink and the social media platform X, reported Al Jazeera.
Clearing all speculations, telecom operator Vodafone Idea on Tuesday said it was not in any such discussion with the Elon Musk-owned satellite internet company Starlink for any stake sale.
