Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema announced on Sunday that Sangrur police have recovered raw material used for manufacturing ethanol as part of the ongoing 70-day statewide anti-drug campaign led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
Police have restored lathi charge after a group of teachers protesting against the government in Punjab's Sangrur turned violent on Saturday, police said.
The protestors, who included agricultural workers, gathered at the Patiala bypass after which they started moving towards the Chief Minister's residence where there was heavy police deployment.
