In a letter addressed to the Foreign Office of Pakistan, the chairperson of NCRC appealed for the safe return of Seema Haider's children, who are currently stranded in India along with her Pakistani husband, Ghulam Haider.
Police on Monday said that it is “investigating all angles” in connection with the 35-year-old woman from Alwar in Rajasthan who travelled to Pakistan to meet her Facebook friend.
“We are aware of the matter. She was presented before the court and is now out on bail," Official Spokesperson of MEA, Arindam Bagchi said during a press briefing.
In an exclusive interaction with ANI at Kathmandu, the hotel owner- Ganesh Roka Magar revealed that the couple stayed in the room most of the time during their stay.
"We will maintain law and order in the state. We will not tolerate any illegal activity. State agencies, as well as Central agencies, were investigating the matter," Brajesh Pathak said while speaking to ANI.
A senior official confirmed that the agencies got alerted about Seema Haider, who illegally crossed into India to marry and live with her Indian partner, they asked detailed report from SSB and UP Police.
