The Indian Deaf Cricket Team clinched a major victory against Sri Lanka in the five-match bilateral ODI deaf cricket series held in New Delhi. The Indian squad defeated the visiting Sri Lankan team 5-0 at the DDA Roshanara Club to win the series held between December 2 to December 8.
Delhi Development Authority (DDA) on Friday took possession of the premises of Roshanara Club Ltd and said that the lease of the property had expired six years ago adding that management of the club had encroached and had leased out a part of the land for private purposes.
The club was established in 1922 and had a lease duration of 90 years. The lease expired in 2018, but the club was granted an extension of six months to one year.
