Welcoming Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, and Indian Ambassador to the US, Vinay Kwatra, Verma emphasised their shared commitment to advancing the India-US relations.

Hailing the India-US bilateral cooperation, US Deputy Secretary of State for Management and Resources and former US Ambassador to India, Richard Verma, said the progress in ties was "unimaginable" a few decades ago.

"America boasts well over 4 million Americans of Indian descent and Indian immigrants to the United States constitute the second largest category of US citizens," Richard Verma said.
