Red Bull Racing's Max Verstappen made history, securing his 10th successive Formula 1 win of the ongoing season and going past legendary Sebastian Vettel's record of nine successive wins in a season back in 2013.
This win also keeps alive the winning streak of Red Bull Racing this season as they are yet to lose a race. Red Bull teammate Sergio Perez took the second spot while Carlos Sainz of Ferrari secured the third position. This triumph also extends Vestappen's lead over Perez in the Driver's Stan
Overcoming heavy rain at the start and end of the race, Red Bull Racing star Max Verstappen secured a record-levelling ninth-successive Formula 1 victory of the season in the Dutch Grand Prix at Zandvoort.
With this win, he is just one race away from overtaking Sebastian Vettel's record of nine straight wins back in 2013. This record-levelling win could not have come at a better location as Verstappen raced through the tracks amid heavy support from the home country crowd.
Verstappen emerged at the top in a one-lap shootout at the end of Q3 which was delayed by a couple of red flags. He delivered a timing of 1:10.567 to outdo McLaren's Norris by just over half a second. Mercedes driver George Russell finished at third.
Verstappen started from sixth at the Belgian GP due to a five-grid place penalty for a fifth gearbox, but took the lead at the end of Lap 17 and won by 22 seconds from team-mate Sergio Perez.
With heavy rain hitting the Spa track as drivers were preparing for the Sprint start, it was decided by Race Control to run a number of laps behind the Safety Car in order to clear standing water.
