In three separate incidents on Sunday, BSF troops recovered a drone, a heroin packet, and pistol parts near the India-Pakistan border in Punjab. The operations were based on intelligence inputs and conducted in Ferozepur, Amritsar, and Tarn Taran.
In a major crackdown on cross-border narco-trafficking, Border Security Force (BSF) troops, in coordination with Punjab Police, recovered four Pakistani drones and significant quantities of suspected heroin from border areas of Amritsar and Tarn Taran districts, said officials on Monday.

Following the operation, 02 people accused of narcotics smuggling were apprehended suspected. Suspected drug money of Rs 1,00,260 was also seized off their possession, according to a statement from BSF.

"BSF troops recovered three packets of suspected heroin (gross weight: 1.678 kgs) at about 04:30 am from a farming field near village Awanbasu of district Amritsar. "
The authorities set up an ambush when they noticed two suspected persons coming on motorcycles at around 2:20 PM. After a brief chase, one of the smugglers was captured while the other managed to escape.
