Two young achievers from the Northeast brought laurels to their respective states by being awarded the 'Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar' for outstanding achievements in diverse fields by President Droupadi Murmu on Friday.
Among the awardees, Vishwanath Karthikey Padakanti expressed that the recognition would help him inspire others. He was nominated for completing the Seven Summits at age 16, making him the youngest Indian and the second-youngest person globally to achieve this feat.
President Droupadi Murmu conferred the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar on children for their exceptional achievements in the fields of Bravery, Social Service, Environment, Sports, Art & Culture and Science & Technology at a ceremony held in New Delhi on Friday.
