The deteriorating air quality of Delhi witnessed a significant improvement after the winter rain showered the capital city, with the Air Quality Index (AQI) recorded at 151, in the "moderate" category at 7 am on Sunday, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).
Air quality in the Mayur Vihar area improved slightly on Saturday, a day after Delhi received a fresh spell of rainfall. The sudden change in weather and the unexpected brought slight relief in pollution.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Delhi-NCR on Saturday will generally have a cloudy sky, moderate morning fog, and strong surface winds (10-20 kmph).
