Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday remembered the designer of the Indian National flag, Pingali Venkayya on his birth anniversary and said that the efforts of Venkayya in giving the nation the Tricolour will always be remembered.
TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu said that he will always stand by the poor and their upliftment will be taken care of by the TDP-JSP-BJP alliance if they come to power in the state.
Later addressing a public meeting, Governor Nazeer said that the 150-foot-tall national flag installed in Jaggaiahpet was a great tribute to Pingali Venkayya, the designer of the National Flag, who was born in the Krishna district and had given an identity to India and its people.
