Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) leader and former Federal Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah has sounded the alarm on the deteriorating security situation in Balochistan, warning that armed groups could seize control of the region if security measures aren't strengthened.
Pakistan's Interim Interior Minister Sarfaraz Ahmed Bugti on Tuesday said the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) would be given full security needed to hold the upcoming general elections in a peaceful environment, Dawn newspaper reported.
When asked if Imran would be tried in the military court, Sanaullah said, "Absolutely, why shouldn't he? The programme that he made to target the military installations and then had it executed, in my understanding absolutely is a case of a military court."
Rana Sanaullah, the interior minister of Pakistan, reaffirmed on Saturday that he does not anticipate the Punjab elections taking place on May 14 despite the Supreme Court set that date, Geo News reported.
Sanaullah while addressing the media in Faisalabad, said that elections would be "held together" under a caretaker setup. Elections across the country would be held at the appointed time this year, he stressed.

The Pakistan interior minister alleged that Imran Khan "will try to find an excuse that some no-confidence motion appears or a direction from the governor arrives" so Punjab Chief Minister Parvez Elahi could "have an excuse" to continue his tenure.
