Two terrorists were killed on February 4 in an encounter under Operation KIYA in the Jophar Forest area of Basantgarh. On the same day, another terrorist was neutralised in the Dichhar area of Kishtwar under Operation Trashi-I.
Designated 'Operation Kiya', the White Knight Corps used X to report the focused counter-terror operation. The corps informed that the Jammu and Kashmir police provided the intelligence, based on which the terrorists were neutralised.
Security forces had launched a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) after receiving specific intelligence inputs regarding the movement of unidentified suspects in Johpar-Marta village of Ramnagar tehsil.
The operation involves troops from CIF Delta, the White Knight Corps, the Jammu and Kashmir Police, and the CRPF, following intelligence inputs. A firefight is underway, with a cordon established around the area.
