Twenty-eight unclaimed bodies of the Balasore triple train tragedy were cremated today in the presence of CBI and BMC (Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation), officials reported.
The All India Institute Of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) executive director Ashutosh Mishra on Monday said there are 28 unclaimed bodies of Balasore train accident victims that will cremated as per the procedure defined.
The Union Minister further said that the Commissioner of Railway Safety under the Ministry of Civil Aviation has completed its inquiry into the Balasore train accident, which claimed 295 lives.
"South Eastern Railway's General Manager Archana Joshi removed from her post after the Balasore train accident. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet approves Anil Kumar Mishra to become the new General Manager of South Eastern Railway," said Indian Railway in an official statement.

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Tuesday held a meeting with the District Magistrate, Superintendent of Police and State government officials in Odisha's Balasore, where nearly 300 people were killed in an accident involving three trains earlier this month.
"The media reports that are saying that a Bahanaga staff involved in the investigation of the Balasore train accident is missing is factually incorrect," Aditya Kumar Chaudhary, CPRO, South Eastern Railway, Balasore, said while speaking to reporters.
