Kerala Health Minister Veena George on Friday confirmed that the four patients including a nine-year-old who were undergoing treatment for Nipah virus infection have recovered and tested negative.
Kerala Health Minister Veena George's office in its statement said that the results of samples collected from five patients came in as 'negative' for the Nipah virus.
The key aspect to address right now is how the primary contact contracted the infection which is still unknown, said Indian Medical Association (IMA) Public Health Standing Committee Chairman Dr A Althaf amid the Nipah outbreak in Kerala.
The district administration on Saturday informed that all educational institutions in Kozhikode district will switch to online classes from September 18 till further orders.
