Assam BJP candidates Terash Gowalla, Jogen Mohan and United People's Party Liberal (UPPL) President and NDA candidate Pramod Boro on Thursday filed their nominations for three seats for the biennial Rajya Sabha elections, in the presence of Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal.
Apart from Nitish Kumar, other NDA candidates, including Upendra Kushwaha and Bihar BJP chief Nitin Nabin, also filed their nominations for the Upper House.
The announcement was made by Nitin Bharti, state spokesperson of RLM, who stated that Kushwaha's nomination was unanimously decided by the party leadership after detailed discussions.
