Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Nityanand Rai on Tuesday said that the Left Wing Extremism (LWE) perpetrated violence has come down by 88 per cent from 2010, with deaths of civilians and security forces reduced by 90 per cent.
Chhattisgarh CM Vishnu Deo Sai announced the neutralisation of 27 Naxals in Narayanpur's Abujmarh region, highlighting the state's success in combating Maoism. He also confirmed the death of top Maoist leader Basava Raju, with a significant bounty on him.
