The Taliban-led Ministry of State for Natural Disaster Management in Afghanistan has confirmed that the death toll in the recent floods has gone up to 66.
Shafiullah Rahimi, a spokesperson for the Taliban-led Ministry of Natural Disaster Management, said that six people have died and eight have suffered injuries during the floods affecting several provinces of Afghanistan, TOLOnews reported.
At least 29 people were killed across 31 provinces in Afghanistan due to flash floods and earthquakes in the past month, Khaama Press reported citing Shafiullah Rahimi, a spokesperson for the Taliban-led Ministry of Natural Disaster Management.
According to Natural Disaster Management, Taliban official for Natural Disasters management said that flooding killed at least nine people and injured 74 others in 23 provinces.
At least 10 people were killed and over 60 injured after flash floods and earthquake hit Afghanistan, Khaama Press reported citing the Taliban-appointed Department of Natural Disaster Management.
