Karnataka Agriculture Minister N Chaluvaraya Swamy on Tuesday lashed out at the central government for the reduced fund allocation to the state and accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah of showing "step-motherly treatment" towards the Congress-ruled state.
This comes after Agriculture Department officials wrote a letter to the Governor’s Office to look into the issue. The officials alleged that the minister demanded a bribe of Rs 6 to 8 lakh.
