A 19-member delegation from the Mongolian Army, led by Brigadier General Ontsgoibayar Lkhamjii, visited the Indian Army's Shatrujeet Brigade to gain firsthand insight into the professional aspects of airborne troops.
The Indian contingent, comprised of 45 personnel, was represented by a battalion of SIKKIM SCOUTS along with personnel from other arms and services. The Mongolian contingent was being represented by personnel from 150 Quick Reaction Force Battalion of the Mongolian Army.
Indian and Mongolian troops performed Yoga in the picturesque background of Meghalaya. Both sides are participating in Exercise Nomadic Elephant at the State-of-the-Art Training Node in Umroi, Meghalaya.
The 16th edition of Joint Military Exercise 'Nomadic Elephant' between armies of India and Mongolia will be conducted in Meghalaya's Umroi from July 3-16.
