External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Wednesday called on Guyana's Prime Minister Brigadier (Ret'd) Mark Phillips and discussed partnerships in the fields of economy, energy, security and development cooperation.
Taking to X, MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal shared about PM Phillips arrival, saying, "PM Mark Phillips of Guyana arrives to a warm welcome in New Delhi. The visit will further strengthen our multifaceted relationship and unique people-to-people linkages that we share."
Guyana's Prime Minister Brigadier (Ret'd) Mark Phillips will embark on his visit to India on February 6 and is scheduled to hold a meeting with President Droupadi Murmu at the Rashtrapati Bhawan on the second day of his visit.
Taking to Twitter on Sunday, Jaishankar said, "Glad to call on Prime Minister Mark Phillips of Guyana. Discussed energy, disaster resilience and preparedness and defence cooperation. India will partner with Guyana in its developmental journey."
