Former Assistant US Trade Representative Mark Linscott on Monday (local time) welcomed the India-US trade deal, in which Washington reduced the tariffs on India to 18 per cent, saying that the agreement will help cement efforts by both countries to come closer economically.
India and the United States may finalize a large trade deal within the first year of Donald Trump's second term as President, but the negotiations will be challenging, according to Mark Linscott, Senior Advisor (Trade) and former Assistant US Trade Representative.
Former US official, Mark Linscott, underscored that India and the US have "tremendous potential" adding that the two countries will conclude a "large trade deal" during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the US.
