A joyous Holi festival turned tragic in Delhi's Burari area when a dispute between two groups escalated into a deadly stabbing, resulting in the death of a young man named Nepal and leaving another critically injured.
A man was stabbed to death, while another one was left critically injured near the Ayurveda Hospital in Gutampuri on late Thursday evening, over a minor altercation regarding the breaking of a side-mirror of a car, police said.
A 35-year-old man, identified as Yogesh, was stabbed to death by his cousin brothers in Mayappanahalli village of Mandya district in Karnataka early on Friday morning. The incident occurred when Yogesh was resting at a cattle crib, police said.
"He used to drink alcohol, with whom he used to quarrel with his partner. They had an argument, and the woman stabbed him, resulting in his death. The body has been sent for the post-mortem. A case has been registered under the relevant sections, and further action is being taken," ADCP K
The deceased has been identified as Bihari Lal, son of Nakshe Lal, a resident of A-318, Lal Bagh, Azadpur. He was working as a tailor in Shastri Nagar.
The incident took place on Wednesday under the jurisdiction of Reinbazar Police Station. And soon after the incident, local authorities reached the location and shifted the critically injured victim to a nearby hospital.
In a tragic incident in Delhi's Ambedkar Nagar, a person was stabbed by five people. The victim lost his life after being admitted to Safdarjung Hospital.
According to the officials, information about the incident was received at around 11:27 PM on October 9 at New Usmanpur Police Station. When police teams reached the spot, they discovered a man lying on the ground with multiple stab injuries.
A 24-year-old delivery worker was stabbed to death in southwest Delhi's Vikaspuri area late Friday night following a drunken quarrel over a money dispute, police said.
