The Indian government granted a patent to the Indian Army's 'Vidyut Rakshak', an integrated generator monitoring, protection and control system, developed by Major Rajprasad RS.
The award was given to the officer during the National Security Guard Seminar on Wednesday for two of his innovations -- "Agniastra- Multi Target Portable Remote Detonation System" and "Shatrunash- Handlheld EMP Gun."
The innovations have been developed in-house by the officer from the 7 Engineer Regiment and have been showcased at India Pavilion to Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, in the presence of Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi.
The innovation, which would enable troops to undertake demolition at long range with increased safety and several advanced features, has been inducted in the Indian Army.
