CM Chouhan made the remark while virtually speaking at an industry interaction organised by FICCI (Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industries) in New Delhi on Thursday.
The incident occurred in Barkhadi village in the district on June 30 where villagers caught two dalits allegedly in connection with molestation. They blackened their faces, garlanded them with shoes and paraded in the village.

"I met the minister, it felt good. He (CM Chouhan) called up my family and spoke to my family. I felt good. Now, I am going back after meeting him," Rawat told ANI.
CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan apologized to the victim for the incident and said that he was deeply disturbed and filled with pain after seeing the video. He welcomed him and washed his feet as a mark of respect.
Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Indore is going to perform research to ascertain the reasons behind the children going missing from home and will help Indore Police to control such cases in the city.
Reacting to the urination case in Madhya Pradesh's Sidhi, former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath said that the incident is an attack on tribal identity and an insult to great personalities like Tantya Mama and Birsa Munda.
