Delhi Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Gopal Rai on Thursday said that the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) wants to arrest Arvind Kejriwal under a "planned political conspiracy".
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Tuesday filed a supplementary chargesheet against Delhi's former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and three others in connection with the Delhi liquor policy alleged scam case.
Aam Aadmi Party staged nationwide protests against the arrest of party leader and Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia by CBI in connection with the liquor policy scam case.
"I am told that most CBI officers were against Manish's arrest. All of them have huge respect for him and there is no evidence against him. But the political pressure to arrest him was so high that they had to obey their political masters," Kejriwal tweeted.
