The unrest erupted nationwide last year after Imran Khan was detained by paramilitary Rangers from the Islamabad High Court during a corruption case proceeding.
The investigating officer requested the court to give more time to present investigation report (challan) against the suspects. Judge Abher Gul Khan agreed to the request and sent the suspects back to judicial lockup until July 20.
The JIT headed by Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Kamran Adil has asked Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman to appear before the probe body at Qila Gujjar Singh investigation headquarters at 4 pm on May 30.
Notably, Khan had filed a plea on Saturday, a day after being released on bail from Islamabad High Court (IHC), against all new cases registered against him.
"The armed forces will not tolerate any further attempt of violating the sanctity and security of its installations or vandalism and resolved to bring to justice all the planners, abettors, instigators and "executors of vandalism on the Black Day of 9th May," the army chief said.
