Fifteen grassroots conservation workers involved in various fields of conservation Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve and its surrounding areas were felicitated by the Architects' Association of Assam (AAA) here on Sunday.
According to the Kaziranga park officials, forest guards on Monday recovered the carcass of the female rhino from the area of Maklung forest camp under the Agoratoli forest range in the national park.
"The census revealed the presence of 84,839 birds which is a 27 per cent increase since the last count (66,776 in 2021-22). This places Kaziranga among the top-5 in the county in terms of presence of resident and winter-migratory birds," said the release.
