Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chief Mehbooba Mufti on Saturday urged the authorities in Jammu and Kashmir police to release protesters from the Shia Community who were detained across the Valley for participating in protests following the reported martyrdom of Ayatollah Ali Khameini.
According to a release issued by the Jammu and Kashmir Police, Prabhat was accompanied by Special DG Coordination, PHQ J&K, SJM Gillani-IPS, Inspector General of Police Kashmir Zone, VK Birdi-IPS and DIG SKR Javid Iqbal Matoo-IPS.
