A division bench comprising Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani and Justice Sardar Ejaz Ishaq Khan gave the decision in favour of suspending the sentences and approved bail of the convicts after surety bonds worth Pakistani Rupees (PKR) 25,000 each were submitted, the report said.
An IHC larger bench - Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani, Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri, and Justice Arbab Mohammad Tahir were hearing cases of missing persons, including Baloch students.
The Islamabad High Court's (IHC) Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani on Monday ordered that Kashmiri poet Ahmed Farhad be declared a case of "enforced disappearance or missing person" until he returns home safely, Pakistan-based Dawn reported.
During the hearing, Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani reminded Kakar that the state institutions are bound by the law and cannot violate the rights of its citizens.
Justice Kayani expressed concern over the delay in recovering individuals who have no criminal records. He highlighted that the summons issued to the prime minister aimed at scrutinizing the state's accountability in enforcing its duties.
The court summoned Anwaarul Haq Kakar as Islamabad High Court's Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani resumed hearing a petition regarding the implementation of the recommendations of the Commission of Inquiry on enforced disappearances.
