England veteran batter Joe Root became the joint-third highest with the most Test hundreds in international cricket, according to the International Cricket Council (ICC).
England's ace batter Joe Root slammed his maiden Test hundred on Australian soil as visitors crossed the 300-run mark at the end of Day 1 of the second Test against Australia at the Gabba, Brisbane, on Thursday.
In 132 Tests, Root has scored 11,178 runs at an average of 50.57. He has scored 30 centuries and 58 half-centuries in the format, with the best score of 254.
